Information
University of Pennsylvania | New College House
The seven-story, 200,000 sf new college house brings together undergraduates, faculty, staff, and graduates in a shared community. The building incorporates extensive sustainable design features that have earned the project LEED Gold certification. The “J” shaped plan of the residence hall presents a crisp, urban façade along Chestnut and 34th street while embracing and framing the landscape on its interior, creating a shared courtyard and recalling the green space previously occupying the site.
Alfred Dragani completed this project while an architect and senior designer at Bohlin Cywinski Jackson.
