Corporate Office Building

The new corporate headquarters building incorporates four floors of flexible workspace programmed with a mix of open and closed offices, shared workspaces, conference rooms, and small group work areas. The building takes advantage of its broad south-facing exposure and shallow floor plate to optimize daylight and promote natural ventilation. The plan organizes the light-filled interior spaces into three main pods connected by an east to west circulation spine, which functions as a “main street.” The east and west termini of the circulation spine are framed by floor to ceiling windows, which introduce natural light and frame dramatic views of the landscape beyond.

The building’s east, west, and south facades utilize sun shades and deep overhangs to minimize heat gain in the cooling season and take advantage of solar gain during heating months, reducing demand on mechanical systems. Strategically placed light wells introduce daylight while enhancing natural ventilation through chimney effect.
